This ia a 40-pin IC base with pins spaced at 0.1(2.54mm) . It is usable for plugging in and out the IC during prototyping and to protect the IC from damage due to heat while soldering by first soldering the base to the board and plugging the IC later.

The LM386 is a power amplifier designed for use in low voltage consumer applications. The gain is internally set to 20 to keep external part count low, but the addition of an external resistor and capacitor between pins 1 and 8 will increase the gain to any value from 20 to 200.

16 Pin IC Socket base adaptor is a 16 pin IC holder, which can be soldered directly onto the PCB. The IC can be removed from this socket when required. The IC is placed on the socket at the time of use. This base acts as a removable IC holder.

The LM317 is an adjustable 3−terminal positive voltage regulator
capable of supplying in excess of 1.5 A over an output voltage range of
1.2 V to 37 V. This voltage regulator is exceptionally easy to use and
requires only two external resistors to set the output voltage. Further, it
employs internal current limiting, thermal shutdown and safe area
compensation, making it essentially blow−out proofLM317T CCVO3 Voltage Regulator IC
